Marissa Zechinato is a singer/songwriter based in Maryland. She graduated from Howard University with a degree in Jazz studies, and has performed at venues including the Apollo Theater, Kennedy Center, Embassy of France, Blues Alley, and the White House, as well as NPR Tiny Desk as a member of Howard University’s premier jazz voice ensemble Afro Blue. She has shared the stage with artists including Kelly Clarkson, Marc Anthony, Chance the Rapper, Common, Esperanza Spalding, Yolanda Adams, Geri Allen, Cyrus Chestnut, Patti Austin, Bruce Hornsby, Alison Krauss, Mavis Staples, Jason Moran, and the New Jersey Symphony Orchestra. When she isn’t onstage, she teaches private voice and keyboard lessons to students of all ages
